Slow And Steady Wins The Race

There lived a hare and tortoise in the same jungle. The hare was always proud of his speed. The hare used to tease the tortoise for its slow pace. One day he challenged the tortoise in a race. The tortoise accepted the challenge and agreed to run a race. They went to a fox and wanted him to act as a judge .A date was fixed for the race. All the animals of the Jungle came to see the race. The race started. The hare ran very fast and was far ahead of the tortoise. He looked back and saw the tortoise lagging far behind. He thought. "The tortoise is too slow. He will take a long time to reach here. Let me have some rest". So, he lay down in the shade of a tree and fell asleep soon. But the tortoise ran on and on. He never looked back. He began to run slowly but steadily. Soon he was about to reach the destination. All on a sudden the hare woke up and saw that the tortoise was about to reach the destination. The hare began to run as fast as he could. But he could not overtake the tortoise. The tortoise had already reached the destination.
